The exhibit was a deeply layered work that used the culture of American politics and the Walker’s collection, archives, and architecture — even its institutional view of itself — as material. From the moment I walked in, it seemed to vibrate a mysterious poetic narrative underneath a potential literal one. Very complex and somehow soothing.”
