Sight Unseen OFFSITE, 2014

In May of 2014, Sight Unseen launched the first annual Sight Unseen OFFSITE, a curated design exhibition coinciding with New York Design Week that provides a platform for the most directional, cutting-edge ideas in contemporary furniture design, with an emphasis on independent studios and the best and brightest American talents. The show was founded as the Noho Design District in 2010 and was rebranded as Sight Unseen OFFSITE in 2014, when it showcased the work of more than 100 designers inside a 20,000 square-foot empty retail space in Soho. The inaugural show welcomed more than 5,000 visitors, including design and lifestyle editors, interior designers and architects, leading retailers and buyers, key tastemakers, and droves of young creatives, establishing Sight Unseen OFFSITE as the most important American platform for independent design.
