"A highlight of the trip was visiting Felipe Ortega near Taos, New Mexico. He works with micaceous clay, which he digs for all around his property. It's shimmery without any glaze due to all the mica in it. These are a few less important pots sitting around outside his house. Like a lot of desert houses, inside and outside blend together."
