When my mom found out, she made me buy it back, but secretly thought it was hilarious, and kept it all these years. The string man was made by Jorma, a deceased man whose estate sale was one of the best I’ll ever go to — he had the oddest, most fascinating collections. I like to think he made it to keep him company.”
