An Office Furniture Showroom Turned Tropical Oasis in the Middle of Manhattan

PHOTOS BY THE WHITE ARROW

The monthlong extravaganza that is NYCxDesign may be drawing to a close — and our Sight Unseen OFFSITE show officially cleared of all the beautiful pieces that made it such a success — but there’s still time to catch some of the smaller exhibitions we lent our name and our curation to this week. One of our favorite projects was an installation in the showroom of the Italian furniture brand Arper, who allowed us to take over a small section of their airy Soho space in order to showcase Arper’s colorful new workplace seating collections, Arcos and Cila. We asked Alex Proba to lend us some of her coolest rugs, Good Thing to provide us with colorful accessories, and Keren and Thomas Richter of The White Arrow to style the whole thing (with a little help from Extrafloral). The result is a colorful, tropical oasis in the middle of downtown New York, open by appointment through tomorrow. Get there if you can, and if not, scroll through the photos below for a little piece of Arper’s Italian paradise. WhiteArrow_SU_Arper_9 WhiteArrow_SU_Arper_5 WhiteArrow_SU_Arper_10 WhiteArrow_SU_Arper_6 WhiteArrow_SU_Arper_8 WhiteArrow_SU_Arper_4 WhiteArrow_SU_Arper_1 WhiteArrow_SU_Arper_2 WhiteArrow_SU_Arper_11
