If you think about it, most ceramicists are obsessed with perfecting their clay. The pots and planters of Jessica Hans, on the other hand, are lumpy and misshapen, with uneven mouths and aggressively irregular textures, like something out of a Tim Burton movie — which is exactly what we love about them. The Philadelphia-based designer mines a dual background in ceramics and textiles for inspiration, as well as the work of artists like Picasso, Miró, and Keith Haring.
