As an artist living and working in New York, Rachel Domm has created illustrations for outlets like J. Crew, The New Yorker, and The Believer, but we love her personal work best, for which she finely renders everyday household objects, like rugs and baskets, in pencil and paper. Domm has shown her work at outlets like Picture Room and Printed Matter, and she has published several books including Window Diary (Nieves, 2015), BASKETS (Miniature Garden, 2015) and RUGS (Miniature Garden, 2013). Her work focuses on the form, ideas, and expressive qualities of handmade objects and patterns from craft. Her first piece for the Sight Unseen Shop is an ikat cotton throw, created in collaboration with textile designer Arati Rao of Tantuvi.
