Two years ago, Juliana Hung was working full-time as an industrial designer in Los Angeles. “It was all very 3-D modeling heavy,” she says, “and required me to be very precise and technical.” After work, all she wanted to do was be free of computers and machines. She started the Jujumade blog to document her inspirations, and she began working with her hands, mostly in ceramic and leather. There were one-offs and special commissions, but not until this year was there a complete collection. And what a collection it is — leather bags with killer chunky stoneware accessories, ceramic bangles with patterned glazes, and the sweetest little geometric earrings, which we’re launching on Sight Unseen.
