This necklace is a study in contrasts: cool silver leafing and warm brass accents against the natural rawness of cotton rope. Aguiñiga sources the brass elements — all factory offcuts — from Los Angeles metal distributors, then wraps them with silk-yarn binding. All pieces are made by hand in her Los Angeles studio. (Note that according to Aguiñiga, this piece can be easily cleaned using Woolite and a toothbrush!)
