–Unraveled Rope Necklace

The dreamy color treatment on this ultra-chunky version of Aguiñiga’s dip-dyed cotton rope creations came about while the designer was experimenting in the studio: When submerged in hot water, a pre-dyed synthetic rope she’d picked up in Alaska gave off a slight pinkish hue. This particular necklace is dyed gray, then dyed again with the Alaskan pink to create its painterly effect.
