Announcing Our 2018 American Design Hot List Honorees

Today we’re pleased to announce the honorees of our sixth annual American Design Hot List, an unapologetically subjective editorial award for the 20 names to know now in American design. The list acts as Sight Unseen’s guide to those influencing the design landscape in any given year — whether through standout launches, must-see exhibitions, or just our innate sense that they’re ones to watch — and in exciting news, it’s now shoppable! For this year’s awards, we’ve partnered with the luxury fashion platform Moda Operandi, so that starting today, you can shop exclusive editions and existing works by our past and present winners on their site, in a special nine-week-only trunk show. The offerings include modular benches by Eny Lee Parker, never-before-seen marble votives by Home Studios, and exclusive furniture and accessories by Objects of Common Interest — we highly encourage you to follow this link to check it out.

Meanwhile, we’ll be devoting the entire upcoming week to interviews with and social media coverage of our 2018 honorees, and we hope you’ll follow along! You can also see all of our past winners on our American Design Hot List page, which serves as an ongoing resource for those who want to learn more about the American design scene.

The 2018 American Design Hot List is presented in partnership with Moda Operandi — the only luxury fashion platform inviting customers to shop directly from designers’ complete runway collections prior to production — but all thoughts and editorial content are our own. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Sight Unseen.
