We’re seeking a New York–based Freelance Account Producer (Press + Media) to join our team. This is a client-facing role that requires strong editorial contacts, instincts, deep familiarity with the design, architecture, culture, travel, and fashion media landscape, and an ability to lead campaign execution with confidence, precision, and creativity.

You will work closely with the agency’s Head of Production and act as a primary point of contact for assigned accounts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an independent, fast-moving, creative, and success-driven environment. We are not a traditional PR firm and are seeking a person with a non-traditional approach who enjoys a shared passion for design, culture, and storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day press efforts for assigned clients.
Develop and execute media strategy, story angles, and pitch calendars
Write press materials, bios, media alerts, and talking points
Pitch stories to top-tier media across print, digital, social media, podcasts and substacks
Maintain and grow editor and journalist relationships in design, lifestyle, travel and culture
Secure, track, and manage media placements from pitch to publication
Coordinate press previews, desk sides, and media-facing events as needed
Contribute to campaign reporting, updates, and client communications
Stay up to date on media trends and industry events relevant to our sectors

Qualifications

Based in New York City, remote with availability for in-person meetings and events
4+ years of experience in PR, editorial, or communications—ideally with a focus in design, architecture, art, fashion, travel and culture
Excellent writing and editing skills with an editorial sensibility
Proven track record of media placements in reputable outlets
Strong organizational and communication skills
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a freelance capacity
