“I’m interested in the idea of functional sculpture. The things I make, they’re on the edge. These exist as vases but many of them can’t exist on their own without a pedestal or a mount, and they often have holes so you can’t put water in them. A friend of mine once suggested that I make them a series of vases for dead flowers.”
