Above the fireplace hangs one of her “prized possessions,” a painting by Cornet Baldwin. “He doesn’t paint anymore, unfortunately.” Meloche gave him his first major solo show in 2002, which sold out and garnered a review in Artforum. But “it was too much fame, too fast. We call him regularly and try to get him to start painting again.”
