When they first met, in New York, Hurewitz was working as an art director for a Swedish digital agency and Jung was a book and exhibition designer hired to freelance on his team (she was also making jewelry, which was the original iteration of Brook & Lyn). “We both had past lives,” he says. “My background was in talking about other people’s products. I never thought about making my own things.”
