Warp threads on a back beam: “I discovered weaving at art school. I was taking classes in fiber already, and in intro everybody gets their little frame loom, you get to try it out. But as soon as I did that I just moved immediately to the floor loom and kind of went from there,” says Duvall. She recalls the weaving studio in college, in a “lift above the rest of the department,” she says. “You could always hear the clanging.”
