2022 Sarah Ellison Huggy Chair Giveaway
This sweepstakes is void where prohibited by applicable law. The sweepstakes is organized by Sight Unseen, hereafter referred to as the “Giveaway Host.”
This sweepstakes is open to United States residents only, age 18 and older, and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Winner may be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and a liability release (unless prohibited by law) as a condition to the delivery of the applicable prize. Employees of Giveaway Host, Design Within Reach, Inc., and Sarah Ellison Studio (together with Design Within Reach, Inc. hereafter referred to as the “Giveaway Partners”) as well as their respective immediate families, household members, and respective affiliates, parent companies, divisions, and related agencies are not eligible to enter the sweepstakes. No purchase is necessary to enter.
How to Enter: To enter, go to the sweepstakes landing page and follow the instructions — users must enter their email address into the form provided and agree to join the e-mail newsletter of the Giveaway Host and both Giveaway Partners. Entrants can unsubscribe from said lists at any time after entering and they will still remain eligible for the prize drawing.
The sweepstakes will begin at approximately 9:00 AM EST on March 17, 2022, and all entries must be received by no later than 11:59 PM EST on March 24, 2022. The email address used by online entrants will be the identity of the entrant and, if selected for a prize, the identity of the winner. By participating, all entrants agree to abide and be bound by these Rules.
Prize:
One (1) grand prize winner will receive one (1) Huggy Chair by Sarah Ellison in their choice of color, valued at $2,295 USD. The Giveaway Host reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. The winner may be required to pay shipping charges associated with purchases made using the aforementioned shopping credit. All expenses and costs associated with the acceptance and use of prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. The winner will be solely responsible for all federal, state and local taxes on prize. Total approximate retail value for the prize awarded: $2,295 USD.
Winner Selection: A winner will be selected in a random drawing at the end of the sweepstakes period. The drawings will be conducted by the Giveaway Host whose decisions are final and binding. Odds of winning will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received. The winner will be notified via email within seven (7) business days of the conclusion of the sweepstakes entry period. The winner must claim their prize via email or phone within two (2) business days after the date of notification of such prize. A winner’s failure to respond to the prize notification within the specified two (2) business days will be considered such winner’s forfeiture of the prize and an alternate winner may be selected from the pool of eligible entries. If an entrant is found to be ineligible, an alternate winner may also be selected from the pool of eligible entries.
Neither the Giveaway Host nor the Giveaway Partners shall be responsible for 1) failed, returned or misdirected notifications or prize delivery based on inaccurate information provided by the winner, 2) entries and responses to winner notifications or prize delivery which are lost, late, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, postage-due, misdirected, damaged or otherwise not received by the intended recipient in whole or in part or for computer or technical error of any kind, 3) any electronic miscommunications or failures, technical hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions which may limit an entrant’s ability to participate in the sweepstakes 4) any technical malfunctions of the telephone network, computer on-line system, computer equipment, software, program malfunctions or other failures, delayed computer transactions or network connections that are human, mechanical or technical in nature, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from downloading any part of this sweepstakes or 5) any warranty of fitness or merchantability of any prize or the function or operation thereof, which shall be the sole responsibility of the manufacturer of the prize. By entering, an entrant agrees to release and hold harmless all Giveaway Hosts and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliated entities, directors, officers, employees, attorneys, agents, and representatives from any damage, injury, death, loss, claim, action, demand, or other liability (collectively “Claims”) that may arise from their acceptance, possession and/or use of any prize or their participation in this promotion, or from any misuse or malfunction of any prize awarded, regardless of whether such Claims, or knowledge of the facts constituting such Claims, exist at the time of entry or arise at any time thereafter.
Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with this sweepstakes, or the Giveaway Host’s or Giveaway Partners’ websites, will be ineligible for prizes and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
The Giveaway Host reserves the right to modify the rules of this sweepstakes in any way or at any time. The Giveaway Host reserves the right to cancel or suspend this sweepstakes should viruses, bugs or other causes beyond their control corrupt the administration, security, or proper play of the sweepstakes.
Design Within Reach, Inc., and Sarah Ellison Studio are the prize providers only in this sweepstakes; they are not the host of this sweepstakes; they are not responsible for the administration of this sweepstakes, the collection of the entries, or the conduct of the draw to select the sweepstakes winner.
