Item you keep around your studio or home for inspiration: I’m always thinking about stuff, which is partly why I like going to Akihabara Electric Town (pictured above). The manufacturing process gives widgets beautiful details that are largely the result of how the component was made. Sprues, registration marks, gnurling, draft angles and part lines — these moments are often raw and underworked, subtle and telling.
