Bittman made these tiles during her residency at the Bemis Center of Contemporary Art in 2013. She spray-painted sheets of MDF before cutting them down into 2x2 inch pieces. While they’re “super basic,” she’s still “interested in the craftsmanship of these things, the labor of making of them.”
