Sight Unseen OFFSITE, 2015

In 2014, Sight Unseen launched the first annual Sight Unseen OFFSITE, a curated design exhibition coinciding with New York Design Week that provides a platform for the most directional, cutting-edge ideas in contemporary furniture design, with an emphasis on independent studios and American talents. For the second edition of the show, Sight Unseen partnered with Ford to fill 12,000 square feet of space at Chelsea’s Hudson Mercantile with work by top up-and-coming design talents, including an immersive, show-stopping installation designed by Brooklyn firm The Principals that was inspired by the design thinking behind Ford’s 2015 Edge vehicle. The 2015 edition of Sight Unseen OFFSITE welcomed more than 7,000 visitors, cementing its reputation as the most important American platform for independent design.
