HotelTonight Design Residency, 2019

In 2019, the travel app HotelTonight invited Sight Unseen to help underscore the design pedigree of their portfolio of properties. We came up with the idea for a weekend residency in which three acclaimed furniture designers would each spend three days in a different city, turning their HotelTonight hotel room into a studio in which to create an object inspired by their surroundings. Chen Chen made a scent diffuser from natural elements gathered in the Portland woods, Eny Parker made a wall hanging out of equestrian elements in Nashville, and Chris Wolston made a lamp from fused Mardis Gras beads in New Orleans. All three projects were documented with videos and celebrated at a press dinner back in NYC.sight_unseen_057sight_unseen_133 sight_unseen_115
