Ceramic Goblets and Wavy Cutlery — The 2019 Sight Unseen Gift Guide, Part II
By now we’ve come to understand how hotly anticipated our annual gift guides are, so considering that it’s after Thanksgiving, we’ll cut to the chase — we did our gift guides a bit differently this year. We’ll still have one day devoted to each editor, but on the third day we’ve convinced some of our favorite designers and influencers to share their best gifts for giving and receiving. Even more, over on Instagram, you’ll have the chance to win four of the coolest items from each guide — the ones pictured in the opening images, which this year were styled by Sean Dooley and photographed by Cody Guilfoyle. (My giveaway quartet, above, includes a chic leather-strap magazine holder, a planter that does the shell trend in a sophisticated way, a pair of crystal prisms that bounce dreamy colors onto the wall, and an affordable lamp with a perfect pleated shade.)
For the rest of my gift guide, I chose some things I already own and love — like a delicious organic olive oil from Greece and a futuristic self-cleaning water bottle — as well as items I’m currently coveting, many with striking, unusual shapes that will impress pretty much anyone who unwraps them. Happy gifting!
