We Can’t Get Enough of the Seussian Furniture Coming Out of Francesco Decio’s Living Room

If Dr. Seuss made clay furniture, it’d look like a bit like the bumpy, brick-colored creations of Decio Studio. Their wildly imaginative forms make it difficult to call them by what they technically are —lamps, water fountains, coffee tables, bookshelves, or mirrors — so creative director Francesco Decio typically opts for "functional art."

These Mosaic Vases — Incorporating Shells and Ceramics Discards — Went Viral on Instagram

Inspired by memory jugs from American folk art, Memor's vases incorporate shells, stones, or — in this case — ceramic discards from Rachel Saunders' studio. Fragmented, would-be discarded pieces of ceramics in muted greens and terracotta are given new life against the natural clay of the vessels. After a sold-out response to their debut collection, the pair are launching a second this summer.

In Dreary London, A Mediterranean Eatery Inspired By the Sun

Are there new restaurants out there that aren't inspired by the seaside? First we had the Italian Riviera, then the Sydney coast, and now Omar's Place — a restaurant located smack in the middle of London but inspired by the Mediterranean. The interior was shaped by Sella Concept, a London-based female design duo whose concept for the space started with idea of the sun — the defining element of Mediterranean lifestyle.
