Iacoli & McAllister

Jamie Iacoli and Brian McAllister say they’re inspired by the basic elements of design: proportion, color, and scale. And while that could describe nearly anyone with a table saw and a blowtorch, it’s especially true for the Seattle-based designers: Since joining forces in 2009, the two have produced a collection of instantly covetable home goods and jewelry, unified by the consistency of their materials palette. From sandblasted oak, powder-coated steel, and hunks of brass tubing, Iacoli & McAllister craft everything from geometric pendant lights to early 20th-century–inspired stepladders. Their jewelry line — composed of coated and uncoated brass parts, hung in various configurations from black or nude Ultrasuede cording — debuted in 2011.
