10 Low-Slung Floor Chairs That Epitomize Our Current Obsession With Coziness

When it comes to seating — in the realm of Instagram influencers, at least — 2020 was the year of the Togo, the iconic beanbag-y modular sofa designed in the ’70s by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset. A low-slung molded mega-pillow that sits directly on the floor, it epitomized the cozy, lazy retreat we all needed once the pandemic kept us mercilessly confined to our living rooms, but it also felt aspirational, a sofa perfectly suited to our fantasies of a future spent sprawled out with our friends, laughing and drinking long into the night. That said, the Togo was certainly not the only comfy floor seat we found ourselves drawn to last year; we’d been tracking the typology since before COVID hit, and saving a little folder of our favorites. This week, as winter (and the maelstrom on the news) keeps us more supine than ever, we thought it was as good a time as ever to share those picks with you.colombo_multichairMulti-Chair by Joe Colombo for B-LineobjectunserertageLevi Chair by Objekte Unserer TageStudioAhead_SheepLoungeChairSheep Lounge Chair by Studio Ahead
