LDF Preview: New Accessories By Four Up-And-Coming Designers

Until this week, all we happened to know about the German furniture and lighting label Pulpo was that it manufactured really beautiful coloredglass and ceramic tables by Sebastian Herkner, whose career we’ve been charting for nearly a decade. But there’s nothing like a brand expanding its roster of up-and-coming designers to get our attention — at next week’s London Design Festival, Pulpo will launch a new collection of accessories by way of a pop-up shop in Shoreditch, created by a trove of young talents. Férreol Babin’s contribution includes dishes shaped like lakes and vases shaped like mountains, while Meike Harde’s made four mismatched glassware-and-carafe sets; there are also vessels made from foam dipped in liquified ceramic by Studio Furthermore, and wood and lava-glazed boxes by RSW. Check out the new designs below, then click here for more info about visiting the pop-up shop in person, starting September 16.
