The Italian-British Duo Mixing LED Tech With Age-Old Murano Glass Techniques

Soon, we’ll be turning our attention to New York Design Week (which, as in recent years, is more like a month), but for now we’re still thinking about the things that inspired us in Milan, including this incredible lighting collection from the Italian-British duo Giapato & Coombes. In their work, the two combine current lighting technologies like LED with age-old Murano glass techniques, and in the process create something wholly modern. Our favorite piece in the new collection, called Milky Way, mixes marble and stone, linear brass enclosures and organic Murano glass in a mobile-like composition
